Frequently Asked Questions
Are you a broker?
Peak Transportation Solutions, Inc., is an asset-based broker. We maintain a 150-trailer fleet of 53’ dry vans and refrigerated trailers. We partner with qualified owner-operators to move goods using our trailers and shipping logistics. To ensure customer success and satisfaction, we are very selective about the owner/operators we contract with, verifying operating authority, safety ratings and insurance coverage.
Can you communicate after hours?
At Peak Transportation, our dispatchers are available for every step of the process. Our office operates traditional business hours, but all Peak Transportation dispatchers are issued company smart phones to ensure they are available at any time there is a question or concern about a shipment. We also have on-call dispatchers available every weekend.
What is your capability for load visibility?
We can monitor every aspect of the trailer, which is especially helpful for temperature-controlled loads. All Peak Transportation trailers are equipped with GPS location trackers and full reefer monitoring, including door sensors, reefer operating status and 2-way remote temperature configurations. We also have on-board geo fencing to manage arrivals, departures and trailer dwell times. This information is fed directly into our logistics system, and our dispatchers are available 24/7 for updates or questions about your freight status.
How do you procure trucks?
Peak Tranpsortation has a pool of owner/operators that we use year-round. Due to our excellent working culture and benefits, we thrive on word-of-mouth advertsing and referrals from our owner/operators. We select only the best owner/operators through an extensive interview process.
I have worked for Peak Transportation since 2004. They offer me flexibility by working with me to get loads that fit my schedule. Their equipment is newer and well maintained. They always pay my settlements promptly.
